12 Guitars

This fantastic, not-for-profit organisation provides access to guitars, basses, and tuition to individuals and groups.  They ensure music is there to harmonise everyone in the community regardless of their ability to pay or play.

They act as a hub for upcycling and recycling pre-loved instruments and new guitars.

Calibrate sponsors 12 Guitars to help them focus on accessibility for all.  Odoo is being deployed for the website, e-commerce, inventory, e-learning, marketing and managing repair work – synchronising processes in one solution.

A-Safe HQ Ltd

A leading global workplace safety solutions provider since 1984.  Headquartered in West Yorkshire with international operations in 17 countries.  Their e-commerce division, Safe Guru (see below), chose Odoo from Calibrate with integration to third-party logistics and internal systems.

 AIC Heating UK Limited

Fife-based AIC Heating is an internationally recognised reliable specialist in the design, engineering and manufacture of stainless steel and titanium heat exchangers. The Pan-European organisation chose Odoo to help run their business.  

Ailsa Reliability Solutions Ltd in Ayr are a dynamic service company, delivering continuous monitoring, site services and remote support to organisations running primary utilities to businesses and consumers.  They chose Odoo from Calibrate after hearing about the benefits we delivered to one of their larger business associates.

This dynamic, growing business invested in Xero and a series of ‘best-of-breed’ solutions and numerous spreadsheets.  They are now on the path to unified process automation and have joined-up control and visibility of all operations and accounting.

Alexander Taylor (Bakeries) Limited is the oldest independent Bakery in Scotland, known for delivering the highest quality produce, from the warmest hearts of a small Scottish Village.  The new owner is loving keeping the character and loyalty to the Bakery and its café, and has asked Calibrate to deliver Odoo to help with the efficient running of the business.  Starting with EPoS, they will deliver end-to-end operational, customer-facing, and accounting activities under one umbrella.

Artus Air deployed Odoo with the help of a Gold Partner to grow their hugely successful Air Conditioning product supply and services to large construction contractors. They changed from one Gold partner to another before their Edinburgh Office team found a Scottish Odoo Silver partner that provides face-to-face operations assistance; in-depth knowledge of the challenges they have faced in inventory accounting; taking their current business model forward to the next level and so much more - and locally!

Colbrook Supplies Direct Ltd provides quality, professionally branded workwear to local service and manufacturing companies. They implemented Odoo Online completely by themselves, thanks to the knowledge and experience of one of their management team.  They have engaged Calibrate for back-up support cover when our advice is needed

Display Wizard Limited provides exhibition banners and stands – designed, printed and packed ready for quick and easy assembly for your company’s promotional activities.

They found Odoo as a replacement for their incumbent systems for accounting, production, CRM, Inventory, projects, Purchasing, Field Service, Timesheets and Subscriptions – with a lot of communication landscaping with email integration, Knowledge, Discuss, Approvals; and integrations with Shopify (boo!), their existing website and some industry specialist solutions.

Gone International is just an amazing story – Founded by a young Scottish lady travelling alone to a strange city – to a community with millions of subscribers.  They chose Odoo to help automate their journey; they have done a great deal themselves and have help from other Partners, before Anne landed back close to home with Calibrate.  We have a Service arrangement that helps them to operate efficiently and continue to support their growing community.

JWF Process Solutions Limited HR / Administrative / Consulting

Glasgow-based JWF Group provides measurement and data management from world-leading instrumentation companies including ABB and WIKA. The engineering team commissions and calibrates all instrumentation for customers. They have also devised meaningful data solutions to embed and support continuous improvement.

Founded in the early 1960’s. JWF has grown organically, through partnership, and their most recent acquisition, Stream, from Oldham, gives the group a very strong and highly respected position in their market.

After the merger, they reviewed systems, with Microsoft Dynamics GP reaching end of life, and Sage in Stream no longer meeting requirements. The natural progression was to unite the companies with a transition to Microsoft Business Central. But when The Directors and investors saw Odoo from Calibrate, they switched their mindset to having everything in one place. The project covers Customer Relationship Management, Quotations, Products, Inventory, Assembly, Repairs, Accounting, Field Service, Projects, Timesheets, Expenses, Rentals, Document and Knowledge Management, Human Resources, Order Processing, and Quality Management.

The project is supported locally by Calibrate’s Odoo specialist consultants.

John Kings Chains Manufacturing / Maintenance

Is a 5th generation family-run business that invested in Odoo several years ago, and sought advice from Calibrate.

Kelvinside Academy is a highly respected not-for-profit independent school in Glasgow.  Not only does it offer a top-level academic service to its pupils, but it also offers personal development through many activities, including its summer camps.

When one of their Directors spoke with a fellow not-for-profit business leader – from Stitch the Gap- about how to cost-effectively promote and administer subscription and payment for the summer camps, she was given the ‘Go to Odoo from Calibrate – Amazing’ advice.

It was a small project, and it was finished ahead of time and way below budget – so we are sure we will be working on some new projects soon.

KitKing Pro Limited Wholesale / Retail

KitKing Pro Limited in Glasgow provides professional football teams and amateur sporting clubs with kits tailored to the individual requirements of teams, players, coaches, and supporters.  Their customers include top pro clubs in Scotland and England, and their quality and standards are just as high for smaller local teams throughout the country.  They implemented Odoo Enterprise as one of Calibrate’s first clients in May 2022.  Many of the current Pro clubs are using Shopify for online and retail sales, with Odoo back-end for production, inventory and order processing. Calibrate has integrated Odoo with the company’s current finance system and e-commerce systems with the aim of rolling out Odoo for all of their customers and all aspects of the KitKing Pro Limited business.

A Scottish world leader in Tachograph Telematics Hardware for Fleet Management & Compliance.  They manufacture  tachograph data management and card hosting hardware, which is regarded as the most robust and reliable in the industry. They chose Odoo for CRM, with the option to grow into other areas of the business.

Metallisation Limited Manufacturing / Maintenance

Metallisation Limited is a global leader in metal spraying and coating technologies. They offer advanced surface engineering solutions for corrosion protection, wear resistance, thermal barriers, and engineering surface enhancement using thermal spraying, arc spraying, and flame spraying. 

Now part of a major global manufacturing organisation, rolling out SAP, the Metallisation team is growing their use of Odoo CRM, Sales and e-commerce with their third Odoo Partner – delivering efficiency, business growth and helping with reporting and analytics with a focus on client success.

Practical Publishing International Limited Finance / Legal / Insurance

The market-leading craft websites, magazines and product provider in the UK and internationally. Practical Publishing identified Odoo as the solution to bring together their back-office operations, finance, and the front-end customer experience.

The company provides 250,000 crafters every month, with their 14 leading craft brands. Founded in 2001, the company has evolved from publishing one craft magazine with a handful of staff to producing a range of craft websites, magazines and products with a team of around 70 people.

The company is acknowledged for its innovative promotions and has direct manufacturing relationships with factories producing craft products in Asia, ensuring a continuous supply of market-leading added value gifts for its readers. After years of implementing point solutions for each department, the head of finance recognised that Odoo could bring everything together under one umbrella, and chose Calibrate to help them on their Journey. Our latest projects include a website for their Artificial Intelligence Magazine, new Street Kids journals, and more direct inventory, production, and integration with industry-specific solutions.

Pyramid Plastics Manufacturing / Maintenance

Pyramid specialises in the provision of Motorcycle Accessories. Following engagement with two larger Odoo partners, Odoo recommended Calibrate to help with improvements to Odoo Accounting. With specific guidance on GRNI and GINR, set-up of the chart of accounts, and bank reconciliation, the certified accounting skills in the Calibrate team were put to good use, and we inherited Pyramid as an exciting addition to the growing Odoo customer base.

R.S.D. Supplies & Services Limited 

RSD Vantage started their Odoo journey from their Vantage Tags beginnings, then acquired procurement specialists in Aberdeen.  Combining operations meant replacing QuickBooks at one end and Sage at the other; they now enjoy management of activities and accounting through a single system.  They started with a strong reliance on Calibrate for implementation services and are now virtually self-reliant with only the occasional support ticket – a great team to work with.

Safeguru UK Limited Wholesale / Retail

Safeguru is an e-commerce wing of a large UK safety products provider, best known for its A Safe brand. As part of the continued global expansion programme, the group selected Calibrate to implement Odoo Enterprise in the UK as the core ERP solution. Calibrate is working with the group’s software team to roll out Odoo across Safeguru operations in Europe and North America.

Skyrora Science & Technology

Representing the next generation of private launch vehicle manufacturers aiming to meet the demand for launch vehicles in the burgeoning small satellite market.

The Skyrora team selected Odoo version 15 in the early development of the company. With Headquarters in Edinburgh and operations in Cumbernauld and Ukraine, Skyrora needs to maximise the return on investment in Odoo, and engaged with Calibrate to provide ongoing design, implementation, configuration, customisation and support for full Accounting, Manufacturing, Inventory, Procurement and Human Resources – our largest project with over 300 users.

Sportax Limited is the UK & Ireland appointed distributor for Nike and Jordan accessories.  They moved from their long-established business platforms to unify business processes with Odoo.  A strong multi-company accounting platform had been implemented to support in-depth seasonal forecasting that is the heart of the business's success of the business.

There are some complex integrations, configurations and customisations for a business that relies on seasonal analytics to gauge purchasing, stock optimisation, logistics and more.

Stitch the Gap CIC Health / Social Welfare / Pharmaceutical

Stitch the Gap is a not-for-profit social enterprise delivering mental health and environmental impact at the grassroots of our communities. Like Calibrate, they have been selected for the RBS Accelerator Programme, and they were interested in what Odoo would do for their initiative.

“Unbelievable” was the post-demo response, and Stitch the Gap quickly realised savings on the multiple apps they were using, and rattled up the website, event booking, e-commerce, contacts, crm.

These foundation blocks were built in two weeks, with much more to come over the coming months. Sponsored by Calibrate.

Tan Delta Systems.com Manufacturing / Maintenance

Over many years, Tan Delta has developed deep experience and know-how in relation to the monitoring of all types of equipment using real-time oil condition monitoring.  After stretching their existing Zoho systems as far as they could, the management team looked for a new end-to-end solution as a platform to grow their business.  

After much consideration, and overcoming the fact that they had never heard of Odoo, Calibrate visited The Tan Delta team in Sheffield for a Discovery session and then a demo, followed by several reference calls to existing clients.  Starting in February 2024, they are live on all core modules and using Odoo and Calibrate services to grow their exciting business.

Transformational Holistics, Caroline Swinburne Wholesale / Retail

The Transformational Holistics team, headed by Reiki Master Caroline Swinburne, helps Adults and children to overcome mind and body issues through therapies, classes, workshops and training in Reiki and Crystals. They discovered Odoo from Calibrate and built their online presence, including booking sessions and promoting

Tunderman Ltd Transportation/Logistics

Tunderman is a European haulage logistics and distribution company with Head Offices in the Netherlands. The UK operation is based in Stepps near Glasgow, and whilst they have a central ERP solution, rolling out the warehouse logistics solution to the UK was prohibitively expensive. They decided on Odoo, and called on Calibrate to provide the configuration expertise to implement Odoo 16 to tightly manage inventory and communicate with its key clients using the supplier portal. A small project delivering true value.

Vox Ignis is a global specialist in voice alarm and communication systems that make our buildings safer in fire, safety and security incidents.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, and sold under the Vox Ignis and leading OEM brands worldwide, their products comply with the highest standards and amplify the safety of millions of people and buildings every day.

The team is well respected in the life and property protection sector, and have taken their small company systems, spreadsheets and emails as far as they can. On the brink of anticipated well-deserved acceleration in growth, they chose Odoo from Calibrate to create the foundations for growth.
